UV-B
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009934
Ultraviolet B radiation, a segment of the electromagnetic spectrum with wavelengths ranging from 280 to 315 nanometers. This radiation is largely absorbed by the ozone layer in the stratosphere, but a portion reaches the Earth's surface. Excessive exposure to UV-B can cause sunburn, skin cancer, and cataracts in humans, and can also harm plant life.
