Visible spectrum

The range of electromagnetic wavelengths that are perceptible to the human eye, extending from approximately 400 nanometers (violet) to 700 nanometers (red). This spectrum is a small part of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Sunlight contains all wavelengths of the visible spectrum, which can be separated by a prism.
