Windburn

An irritation or inflammation of the skin caused by prolonged exposure to cold, dry wind, often exacerbated by low humidity. It results from the wind stripping moisture and natural oils from the skin, leading to dryness, redness, and chapping. This condition is distinct from sunburn, which is caused by ultraviolet radiation.
