Standard pressure
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009196
A defined constant value representing the approximate average atmospheric pressure at mean sea level. This value serves as a reference point in scientific calculations and for calibrating pressure-sensitive instruments. The internationally accepted value for standard pressure is 101,325 pascals, which is equivalent to 1013.25 hectopascals, 1013.25 millibars, or 29.921 inches of mercury.
