Standard pressure altitude

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010783

The altitude in the International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) corresponding to a given atmospheric pressure. It is calculated based on the assumption of a standard temperature lapse rate and sea-level pressure. This value is used in aviation to standardize aircraft performance calculations, with 29.92 inches of mercury (1013.25 hPa) representing standard sea-level pressure.
