NACA Standard Atmosphere
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007468
A theoretical model of the Earth's atmosphere that defines standard values for atmospheric properties such as temperature, pressure, and density as a function of altitude. Developed by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), it provides a common reference for aircraft design, performance calculations, and meteorological studies. The model assumes a mean sea level temperature of 15 degrees Celsius and a pressure of 1013.25 hectopascals.
