Model atmosphere
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007356
A theoretical or idealized representation of the Earth's atmosphere, often used for scientific calculations, instrument calibration, or as a reference standard. These models define typical vertical profiles of temperature, pressure, density, and other atmospheric properties. The International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) is a widely used example.
