Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003824
A unit of pressure equal to one millibar, which is 1/1000th of a bar. The millibar is a common unit for measuring atmospheric pressure in meteorology, although the hectopascal (hPa) is now the internationally preferred unit, with 1 hPa being equal to 1 millibar.
