Station location

The geographical position of a meteorological observing station, precisely defined by its latitude, longitude, and elevation. This information provides the spatial context for all measurements taken at the site, allowing them to be correctly placed on maps and used in spatial analysis. Station location is recorded in degrees, minutes, and seconds for latitude and longitude, and in meters or feet for elevation above mean sea level.
