Steppe climate

A type of dry climate characterized by semi-arid conditions, where precipitation is too low to support a forest but not so low as to create a desert. These regions experience large temperature ranges, both daily and seasonally, with hot summers and cold winters. Under the Köppen climate classification system, steppe climates are designated as BS, distinguishing them from the more arid desert climates (BW).
