Desert climate

A climate classification characterized by extremely low annual precipitation and high potential evapotranspiration, leading to a severe moisture deficit. These climates are found in regions dominated by subtropical high-pressure systems or in rain shadows. The Köppen climate classification designates these as BWh (hot desert) or BWk (cold desert).
