Moist climate
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007366
A climate classification where annual precipitation exceeds the total annual potential evapotranspiration, resulting in a water surplus. These regions support the growth of forests and have perennial streams. The Köppen climate classification system designates several types of moist climates, including tropical rainforest (Af), humid subtropical (Cfa), and marine west coast (Cfb), based on specific temperature and precipitation patterns.
