Surface velocity

The speed and direction of fluid movement at the interface between the atmosphere and a body of water or land. This measurement characterizes the flow patterns of currents in oceans, lakes, and rivers, or the movement of air directly above the ground. It is often measured using instruments like current meters or anemometers, or derived from satellite imagery.
