Eulerian current measurement

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005479

The measurement of ocean currents by deploying instruments at a fixed location, such as on a moored buoy or a seafloor-mounted platform. These instruments record the velocity and direction of the water flowing past them over time. Common instruments include Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) and current meters, providing time series data at specific points.
