Eulerian coordinates
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005477
A system for describing fluid motion by observing properties at fixed points in space as the fluid flows past them. In meteorology, this involves measuring variables like wind speed, temperature, and pressure at stationary weather stations or grid points in a numerical model. This approach contrasts with Lagrangian coordinates, which follow individual fluid parcels.
