Ethane

A colorless, odorless, gaseous hydrocarbon with the chemical formula C2H6, belonging to the alkane series. It is a minor constituent of Earth's atmosphere, primarily originating from natural gas and petroleum production, as well as some biological processes. Ethane is a greenhouse gas, though less potent and abundant than methane.
