quasi-Lagrangian coordinates
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008249
A coordinate system that attempts to follow the motion of atmospheric parcels or features, but not perfectly, allowing for some relative movement. This approach combines aspects of both Eulerian (fixed grid) and Lagrangian (parcel-following) frameworks. It is often used in numerical models to track air masses or fronts while maintaining a structured grid.
