Lagrangian coordinates
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006834
A system for tracking the motion of individual fluid parcels as they move through space and time. This approach focuses on the properties of a specific parcel, such as its temperature, velocity, and pressure, as it evolves along its trajectory. It contrasts with Eulerian coordinates, which describe fluid properties at fixed points in space.
