Tendency

The rate of change of a meteorological variable with respect to time at a fixed point or within a moving air parcel. It describes whether a quantity, such as pressure, temperature, or wind speed, is increasing or decreasing. Pressure tendency, for example, is a key indicator for forecasting weather changes.
