Tendency interval
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009547
The specific period over which the change in a meteorological variable, such as atmospheric pressure, is calculated. This value, known as the pressure tendency, indicates the character and magnitude of pressure change during that time. Standard surface weather observations report the pressure tendency over the preceding three hours, encoded as a number and a symbol on a station model plot.
