Tenggara

A strong, dry southeasterly wind that occurs over the eastern parts of the Indonesian archipelago, particularly during the dry season from June to September. This wind originates from the high-pressure system over Australia and brings arid conditions as it blows across the islands toward the Asian low-pressure area. The tenggara is the local name for the southeast trade wind in this maritime region.
