Tendency equation
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009546
A prognostic equation in meteorology that describes the time rate of change of an atmospheric variable, such as pressure, temperature, or geopotential height. These equations are derived from the fundamental laws of physics and are used in numerical weather prediction models. They quantify the processes that cause atmospheric changes.
