Isallobaric wind

A component of the ageostrophic wind that arises from horizontal variations in the pressure tendency. This wind blows across isobars from regions of falling pressure to regions of rising pressure, accelerating air parcels towards areas of rapid pressure change. It is particularly noticeable in rapidly developing weather systems.
