Isallohypsic wind
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006666
A component of the ageostrophic wind that results from horizontal variations in the tendency of geopotential height on a constant pressure surface. This wind blows from regions where the geopotential height is falling to regions where it is rising. It is analogous to the isallobaric wind but applied to upper-air charts.
