Thermodynamic probability
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009606
A measure of the number of microscopic arrangements (microstates) that correspond to a given macroscopic state (macrostate) of a thermodynamic system. It is directly related to the entropy of the system, as described by Boltzmann's formula. A higher thermodynamic probability indicates a more disordered or probable state.
