Third law of thermodynamics
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009629
A fundamental principle of thermodynamics stating that the entropy of a system approaches a constant minimum value as its temperature approaches absolute zero. This law implies that it is impossible to reach absolute zero temperature through any finite number of processes. It provides a reference point for the absolute value of entropy.
