Absolute zero

The theoretical lowest possible temperature at which a substance has no kinetic energy and all atomic motion ceases. This point is defined as 0 Kelvin or approximately -273.15 degrees Celsius. While it can be approached very closely in laboratories, it is considered unattainable in practice.
