Thermodynamic function of state

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009605

A property of a thermodynamic system that depends only on its current state, not on the path taken to reach that state. Examples include temperature, pressure, volume, internal energy, enthalpy, and entropy. Changes in these functions are independent of the process, only depending on the initial and final states.
