Tivano

A light wind that blows from the north down Lake Como in northern Italy during the night and early morning, a cool mountain breeze coming off the surrounding slopes. It usually fades by late morning, when the southerly breva takes over as the land warms. The tivano is also the name for similar night mountain breezes on other Italian lakes.
