Mountain breeze

A local wind system that flows down mountain slopes into valleys during the nighttime hours. It forms as the air on the slopes cools more rapidly than the air in the valley, becoming denser and flowing downslope under gravity. This breeze is part of the diurnal mountain-valley wind circulation.
