Gravity flow
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006044
The movement of a fluid, such as air or water, driven primarily by density differences under the influence of gravity. This occurs when a denser fluid displaces a less dense fluid, leading to a downslope motion. Examples include katabatic winds, which are cold, dense air masses flowing down mountain slopes, and turbidity currents in the ocean.
