Downslope wind

A wind that flows from higher to lower elevations, driven by gravity or pressure gradients. These winds often occur on the lee side of mountain ranges, where air descends and warms adiabatically. Examples include foehn winds and katabatic winds, which can significantly influence local weather patterns.
