Tropic of Cancer

The northernmost circle of latitude on Earth at which the sun can be directly overhead at noon, occurring at the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. This line is located approximately 23.5 degrees north of the Equator. It marks the northern boundary of the tropics.
