Temperate zone

A geographical region of the Earth located between the tropics and the polar circles, specifically between the Tropic of Cancer and the Arctic Circle in the Northern Hemisphere, and between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic Circle in the Southern Hemisphere. These zones experience distinct seasons with moderate temperatures, neither extremely hot nor extremely cold. The sun's rays strike the Earth at a more oblique angle here compared to the tropics.
