Upglide cloud
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009903
A cloud formation that results from the slow, steady ascent of moist air over a frontal surface or topographic barrier. As the air rises, it cools adiabatically, leading to condensation and the development of widespread, layered clouds. These clouds are characteristic of warm fronts and often produce continuous precipitation over a broad area.
