Wind ridge

An elongated accumulation of snow or sand formed by wind deposition on the lee side of an obstacle or in areas where wind speed decreases. These features are common in mountainous terrain or open, windswept landscapes. They can vary greatly in size and shape depending on wind strength and snow availability.
