Bevel-gear-operated (BGO) valve
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000324
A valve equipped with a bevel gear mechanism to assist in opening and closing the valve, particularly for larger sizes or high-pressure applications. The gearing reduces the torque required by the operator, making it easier to actuate the valve manually. BGO valves are commonly found on large gate or globe valves in pipeline and plant service.
