Globe valve
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001709
A type of valve that regulates fluid flow by moving a disc closer to or further from a seat. The flow path through a globe valve involves multiple changes in direction, which creates a relatively high pressure drop but allows for precise throttling of flow. These valves are often used for applications requiring frequent flow regulation, such as in steam or cooling water systems.
