A standard unit of measure for solid additives in cement slurries, expressed as a percentage of the dry cement's weight. This proportion dictates the amount of an additive, such as a retarder or accelerator, to be mixed with a given quantity of cement powder. For example, 2% by weight of cement means 2 pounds of additive for every 100 pounds of cement.
