Pounds per barrel

A unit of concentration used in drilling fluids, representing the weight of a solid additive in pounds per 42-gallon barrel of fluid. This unit is commonly used for expressing the concentration of weighting agents, lost circulation materials, or other solid additives. For example, a mud might contain 10 pounds per barrel of barite.
