Coiled tubing

A continuous, flexible steel or composite pipe spooled onto a large reel for deployment into oil and gas wells. Unlike jointed pipe, it is run into and out of the well in one piece, which speeds up well intervention operations such as cleanouts, stimulation treatments, and conveying logging tools. Standard outside diameters range from 1 inch to over 3.5 inches, with the reel and injector head mounted on a truck or skid for mobility.
