An abbreviation for coiled tubing, a continuous, flexible steel or composite pipe spooled onto a large reel. It is run into and out of a well without making up individual joints of pipe, making it efficient for well interventions like cleanouts, stimulation, and logging. CT units are mobile, consisting of a reel, an injector head to push and pull the tubing, a control cabin, and a power pack.
