Diffusion models
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001082
A class of generative artificial intelligence models that learn to create new data samples by reversing a gradual process of adding noise to data. They start with random noise and iteratively denoise it to produce high-quality outputs, such as images or audio. These models show promise in generating synthetic seismic data or realistic geological formations for training purposes.
