Indicator models

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001965

Geostatistical models that represent the spatial distribution of categorical variables, such as lithofacies or fluid types, within a reservoir. These models assign a binary indicator (0 or 1) to each location, denoting the presence or absence of a specific category. They are often employed in reservoir characterization to build realistic geological models that honor discrete geological features.
