Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001964

Geostatistical techniques that model the spatial distribution of categorical variables, such as facies types or fluid contacts, within a reservoir. These methods convert continuous data into binary indicators, representing the presence or absence of a specific attribute. Indicator kriging is a common application used to estimate the probability of occurrence for a given facies.
