Gaussian techniques
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001656
A class of statistical and geostatistical methods that assume data or variables follow a Gaussian (normal) distribution. These techniques often involve transforming non-Gaussian data to a Gaussian space before analysis or simulation. Gaussian methods are widely used in reservoir modeling for tasks like kriging and simulation due to their mathematical tractability.
