Geostatistical methods

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001691

A set of statistical techniques used to analyze and predict the spatial or spatiotemporal distribution of natural phenomena, accounting for spatial correlation. These methods include variogram analysis, kriging, and stochastic simulation. They are widely applied in reservoir characterization to estimate reservoir properties between well locations and quantify uncertainty.
