Drillstem test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001195
A temporary completion of a well or an openhole interval to evaluate the productivity of a hydrocarbon-bearing formation before running production casing. It involves isolating the zone of interest and allowing formation fluids to flow to the surface or into a test tool. This test provides data on reservoir pressure, fluid type, and flow rates.
