Openhole packer

A downhole tool used to isolate sections of an uncased wellbore during testing, stimulation, or completion operations. It expands against the formation rock to create a seal, preventing fluid movement between zones. These packers are often inflatable or mechanical and are designed for temporary deployment in the open hole.
