Swellable packer

A downhole sealing device that expands and creates a seal when exposed to wellbore fluids, such as oil, water, or gas. The packer element is made of a material that swells upon contact with specific hydrocarbons or water. Swellable packers are used for zonal isolation, water shut-off, or to provide an anchor point for other tools.
